Who is SloeGinFizz?
Sloan Morris - acoustic bass
Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Sloan has played, studied, and composed music since he was 7
years old. While getting his music degree in Ohio, he played in several bands with styles
ranging from Motown, jazz/funk, Brazilian, and musicals. For five years in beautiful Tucson,
Arizona, he performed with several more bands, recorded a few albums, and got a graduate
degree, before moving to Oregon. He now lives in northeast Portland.
Gillian Rubin - vocals
A Massachusetts native, Gillian has spent most of her life singing a variety of musical styles-
from classical to folk to acoustic pop, country, rock and jazz. She has performed her own
songs in coffeehouses and has served as lead singer in a 13-piece band. With a voice that is
equal parts mellow, forceful, and soulful, she's the centerpiece of the SloeGinFizz sound.
Gillian makes her home in Portland.
Chris Wilson - guitar/vocals
Another Massachusetts native, Chris has sung and played acoustic or electric guitar with a
variety of bands over the past 30 years, including 50's-60's cover band Danny and the
Originals, pop recording artist Andy Harrison, and acoustic duo The Underhills. Most recently
he was the lead guitar player and a vocalist for Portland band Mister Fisk. A Portlander since
1983, Chris lives in Sellwood.
